Canvas is printed with water-based latex ink on 400 gsm poly/cotton canvas and stretched by hand over an Italian pine frame at a 1.5″ gallery depth. Framed canvas adds an Italian pine floating frame, 2″ deep with a 1.375″ face, in satin black, satin white or natural wood. Metal is dye-sublimated onto 1.15 mm aluminium with a gloss white base and ECO PASSPORT certified ink. Acrylic is gloss photo paper mounted to a 4.5 mm crystal-clear panel. Framed prints are 9 mil gloss photo paper in a pine frame with a satin black finish, behind glass, with a polar white mat available on every size. Metal and acrylic arrive on a 1″ black frame that floats them off the wall; canvas, framed canvas and framed prints ship with a sawtooth hanger, or wire and mounting hardware on larger sizes.

Production is 3 to 5 business days for standard sizes and 5 to 7 for extra large, then 2 to 7 business days in transit from the moment the courier picks it up. Free shipping across Canada and the United States. Every order is packed shrink wrapped with corner protectors in a durable corrugated box; metal adds a wood frame around all edges.

Dust with a dry, soft cloth. No cleaners, solvents or water. Metal is rated for interior and exterior use and handles humidity, so it suits bathrooms and kitchens; canvas and framed canvas are better kept out of them. Keep any print out of prolonged direct sun.

What makes a good photo to print

A physical print reveals every detail in your file, which means resolution at actual print size matters much more than camera megapixels. We automatically check every file upload before it goes to press. If an image looks too low-res to print crisp at your chosen dimensions, our team reaches out directly to help before we start production.

Works well

Sharp and in focus

the subject is crisp at full size, not softened by a screenshot or a zoom.

Even, natural light

daylight or a well-lit room, with the subject facing the light.

Close enough to fill the frame

the subject takes up most of the photo rather than sitting in the distance.

Causes trouble

Screenshots and downloads

files pulled from social media lose the detail we need to print large.

Heavy shadow or backlight

strong shadow across the subject hides the detail a large print needs.

Filters already applied

send the original file where you can, and we will handle the finish.

Send it anyway. We check every file and come back to you before printing.

24 × 363000 pxon the long edge

We print at 150 PPI at full output size, the industry standard for artwork viewed from a comfortable room distance. Virtually any smartphone camera from the last five years easily meets this threshold. What usually lowers image quality isn’t the original camera, but how the file was saved: screenshots, social media downloads, and photos saved from text messages are compressed down to a fraction of their original size. For the sharpest print, always upload the original photo file straight from your camera roll or camera card.

Before you buy

Got questions before uploading your image? Here are the most common details on finishes, sizing ratios, and shipping speeds so you can order with total confidence.

How long will it take to reach me?

Production takes 3 to 5 business days for standard sizes and 5 to 7 business days for extra-large prints. Once shipped, transit typically takes an additional 2 to 7 business days across Canada and the US.

How does it arrive, and how do I hang it?

Every piece arrives prepped and ready to hang right out of the box. Canvas, framed canvas, and framed paper prints feature pre-installed sawtooth hangers (or heavy-duty wire hardware on larger sizes). Metal and acrylic prints feature a hidden 1" rear mounting frame that floats the artwork off the wall for a modern look.

What size should I hang above a sofa?

Target artwork that covers about two-thirds of the total width of the furniture below it. Above an 84" sofa, aim for around 56" of artwork, such as a single 32" × 48" landscape print or a pair of 24" × 36" vertical prints. Hang the piece so its centre sits 57" to 60" from the floor, leaving 6" to 8" (15–20 cm) of space between the top of the sofa and the bottom of the frame.

Is it actually printed in Canada?

Yes! All of our artwork and custom photo prints are produced, hand-framed, and shipped locally from our facility in Toronto, Canada.

Canvas, framed canvas, or metal, how do I choose?

Start with your room’s lighting and humidity:

Canvas: Semi-gloss finish with a soft sheen. A good pick for sunlit rooms or walls facing windows and lamps.

Framed Canvas: Adds a sleek Italian pine floating frame (in satin black, satin white, or natural wood) for a formal, gallery-finished edge.

Metal: Semi-gloss finish that enhances colour vibrancy and detail. Completely waterproof, making it the only choice for bathrooms, kitchens, or high-humidity spaces.

Framed Photo Prints & Acrylic: Glass and high-gloss acrylic offer incredible depth, but should be placed on walls away from strong direct reflections.

Will the crop change if I pick a different size?

Most standard camera photos follow a 2:3 aspect ratio (like a 16" × 24" or 24" × 36"). If you choose a size with a different ratio (such as a 4:3 or 1:1 square format), some edge cropping will occur. Our live preview tool lets you adjust, zoom, and frame your crop exactly where you want it before you commit.
